INACCURATE GAZE (2020)
A short film MADE IN COLLABORATION WITH MISCHA LIND, YJ WU & AIYIM ZHAISHYLYK. (I shot a good majority of the footage and laid out all the ground work for the editing soundtrack)
- Conceptualised and created prior to the Covid19 outbreak yet this work almost seems to predict it now that I look back.
- The anthropocentric lens, how could humans be perceived by the rest of the natural spectrum?
- Is it possible for video to convey a non-human narrative?

WHEN SHIT HITS THE FAN ARE YOU STILL A FAN? (2020)
The final site specific installation of my series on the WIND element, I will finish my elemental series with Water and Fire when school reopens.
I created my own CCTV to Document this work, the audience where welcomed to interact with the installation, by pressing the red button on top of the painting. In doing so creating a microcosm for the Hyper Object that is pollution.
The central sculpture looks like a fan or a wind turbine, however, it is slow, generates no wind and requires electricity to function. I contrasted this with a light piece of fabric that drifted in the natural wind entering from an open window in the ceiling of gallery 2.
TIERRA INCOGNITA (2019/2020)
The process and conclusion to my research into the Earth element. An esoteric installation commemorating shamanism. Two performative installations spliced together. Unfortunately there is no audio on half of it, however.
After reading Claire Bishop's ARTIFICIAL HELLS in the summer of 2019 I wanted to experiment with participatory performance. This presented a great challenge, I was rushed into presenting work at the beginning of the second year and a result the first performance was half baked. I remade this work later in the year which was more successful. I was able to include my entire year in the performance as we all made percussive noise using the installation as a drum kit.
Remaking performances allows for a totally new and refreshing work and will be a process I return to later on. I still question the white space gallery as a suitable setting for communal performance, perhaps its inherent qualities are too static.
THIS PROJECT WAS IN COLLABORATION WITH KABK, NESTRUIMTE AND FIT FOR FREE.
IN THIS WORK I TELL THE STORY OF AN INTERGALACTIC TRAVELLER TELEPORTING THROUGH VARIOUS DIMENSIONS.
IN COMPETING WITH OTHER STUDENTS I WAS SELECTED BY THE JURY TO SHOW MY WORK AT THE FIT FOR FREE.
THE WORK WAS PLAYED OVER A 2 MONTH PERIOD IN FIT FOR FREE THE VIDEO WOULD RANDOMLY APPEAR TO GYM-GOERS ON THE RUNNING MACHINE SCREENS.
